FAQ or Frequently Asked Questions referred to the queries or questions and answers which are asked in a particular context, on some topic. It may refer either to a number of questions or only one question. The term FAQ was originated nearly in 1982; during that time the internet was not used widespread and storage was also expensive.

NASA had developed the short form of FAQ for the mailing life for SPACE. It was a sequence of different queries posted on net and in different groups of computer systems. The same format was used by other internet mailing lists. The distribution of the details of the questions were circulated every month earlier and later on it was changed to weekly and then daily between different groups. Initially at the time of its inception the FAQ mailing list was used by some of the regular users but then later on with the popularity it was easily acceptable by users across the world.

Internet users post many questions and queries on net which are related to the topic for which the FAQs are prepared. Some of the groups on internet have different topics to discuss at one time simultaneously and every one has there own unique views about the subject. It is also noticed that the questions asked sometimes are not the frequent ones but any question asked is sometimes listed under the FAQs list. For this matter only FAQ is sometimes also termed as Frequently Asked and Anticipated Questions.

The FAQ type details are also mentioned now a days offline as well. Its not compulsorily that the details should be present for the internet usage only. The details are there for any other game or any machine, like to how to use and/or how to install. On the internet different groups have there different FAQ lists. With the help of the FAQ list the user can easily use the product or any software, for which the list consists all possible questions with detailed answers regarding and options to use the same. In some way or other it is appreciated that the FAQ system is very much prevalent with the users now a days which helps them to enhance their knowledge and confidence in using the same.
