So putting the right information in there can also help you get the traffic that you seek, so make sure it is worth the effort.

Meta tags are used as the prime ranking factor in some search engines, and are given a high level of importance. In these engines, they will be ranked and listed heavily based on the Meat tags. The search engines will use them to develop the web sites theme as well as establish its relevance to a specific keyword. However it is not always done in this way. Search engines use a lot of other methods of establishing the relevance of terms and determining of themes, but considering Meta tags is also a factor you must not miss out on.
